Food Vendor Application Form

General Information

Participants must comply with the rules governing this application. Lakeshore Mardi Gras Committee reserves the right to reject any application.

Location

Vendors will be located in Colonel Samuel Smith Park at Lake Shore Boulevard West and Kipling. All vending locations assigned to the vendor are final.

Exclusivities

There will be no exclusivities, BUT we the festival committee will have the right to match vendors and there price point though an amicable conversation between both parties.

Payment

  1. A registration fee for Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday is due at the time of the application for a space as outlined below:
    • $300 for a 10 x 10 Food Vendor Space
    • $400.00 for a 10 x 20 Food Vendor Space
  2. Vendors requiring more space than noted above will need to rent multiple spaces with the appropriate cost.
  3. Vendors must send the registration fee with the application to be considered as a Vendor.
  4. All vendors must supply their own tables, chairs, canopies etc.
  5. We will confirm with you receipt of your application and payment.

Lakeshore Mardi Gras Committee disclaims any and all liability that may arise from the sale of goods by the Vendors or by the conduct of the Vendors. Lakeshore Mardi Gras Committee in no way guarantees the marketability for fitness of the Vendors goods, nor does Lakeshore Mardi Gras Committee guarantee the success of the Vendor's efforts.


Rules and Regulations

Vendor Locations

  1. Vendor load in is between 8:00am & 4:30pm on Thursday, August 3rd 2017.
  2. All locations, including all products and waste, debris and rubbish must be taken down and removed from the site no later than 10.00pm Monday, August 7th, 2017.
  3. The Vendor must supply his/her/its own waste receptacle.
  4. All booths must be staffed at times from 3:00 noon until 11:00pm on Friday, August 4th, on Saturday August 5th and Sunday August 6th 2017 from 12:00 noon until 11:00 pm and Monday, August 7th 12:00 to 8:00 pm.
  5. Property not removed by 10:00 pm Monday, August 7th may be stored by the Lakeshore Mardi Gras Committee at the expense of the Vendor and may be sold by Mardi Gras Shore Productions to recover costs.
  6. At the termination of this contract, the Vendor shall return to Lakeshore Mardi Gras the booth space area in as good a condition as at the beginning of this contract.
  7. Please keep in mind that any small generator will need to fenced in, this is a bylaw
  8. There will be a Food Vendor load in schedule forwarded a week prior to the event with load in times and locations for each vendor, each vendor will be marshalled on the property, a map of the marshal staging area will also be sent for easy and organized access.
  9. Any other excess for deliveries or supply drops will ONLY be between 8am and 11am each day.
  10. Please drive slowly with hazards on. Load out will be on a first come first serve basis with the same Marshalled access point to the site as load in upon the events completion.
  11. Please note that if you are able to walk your items to your vehicle without needing site access to please do so at your leisure.

Liability

  1. The Vendor releases Lakeshore Mardi Gras Committee, and all other entities associated with Lakeshore Mardi Gras Committee, as well as all employees, volunteers, contract workers and other Vendors from injury or damages incurred by the Vendor and/or its agents.
  2. The Vendor releases Lakeshore Mardi Gras Committee, and all other entities associated with Lakeshore Mardi Gras Committee, including all management and sponsors as well as all employees, volunteers and contract workers of Lakeshore Mardi Gras Committee from all liability and responsibility for theft, damage or accidents with regard to all Vendor displays prior to, during, or after the event. Product liabilities, guarantees and insurance are the sole responsibility of the Vendor.
  3. The Vendor hereby indemnifies and holds Lakeshore Mardi Gras Committee harmless for any loss, disruption, destruction or damage, including but not limited to, loss or disruption of electrical power, experienced by the Vendor as a result of the Vendor entering into this contract.
  4. The Vendor hereby acknowledges that Lakeshore Mardi Gras Committee is not responsible for any act of God, act of another Vendor or any person visiting Colonel Samuel Smith Park or passing by.
  5. The Vendor hereby acknowledges that neither Lakeshore Mardi Gras Committee nor any of its agents has made any guarantees or warranties regarding any sales, attendances or anything of a financial nature to the Vendor.

Signs and Displays

  1. All signs and displays must be of a standard in keeping with the family nature of the event. Therefore, displays and signs of a sexual or degrading nature, political or religious natures are not permitted and Lakeshore Mardi Gras Committee shall be the sole judge of the acceptability of signage.

General Rules and Regulations

  1. Lakeshore Mardi Gras Committee shall have the right but not the duty to supervise the manner of exercising the operation and activity of the Vendor.
  2. Under no circumstances may the Vendor sell any food or beverage product without the prior consent of Lakeshore Mardi Gras Committee.
  3. Failure by the Vendor to comply with any other rules or regulations herein may result in automatic termination of vending rights. In the event of termination, the Vendor shall vacate the location immediately in a quiet and dignified manner.
  4. The officer or agent signing on behalf of the Vendor warrants that he/she has all necessary authority to sign on behalf of the Vendor.
  5. The Vendor acknowledges that this agreement is not a lease but only a revocable license to undertake the activities contemplated herein.
  6. This contract contains the entire agreement between the Vendor and Lakeshore Mardi Gras Committee and supersedes any and all understandings, agreements and arrangements made between the Vendor and Lakeshore Mardi Gras Committee.
